2000 Season

Several things happened in the 2000 season. We left the MSBL National Organization and became an independent League called MetroWest ABL (Adult Baseball League). We also expanded by two teams to have 10 teams total. The two expansion teams, Mariners and Red Sox played in the American League and the Brewers switched to the National League. We changed the scheduling format so every team played every team twice for an 18 game schedule.

In their first season in the League, the Red Sox pulled an amazing feat by winning the title!

1999 Season

For the fourth time in six seasons, the Orioles won the title. The same eight teams have now been in the League for three straight years! Despite the fact that the teams were the same, 1999 was a year of big changes in the Middlesex MSBL. The three largest changes were:
1 - using wooden bats instead of aluminum,
2 - voting for league all-stars and
3 - creation of this website.

1998 Season

This marked the first season that no teams were added or removed from the previous year. The same 8 teams played in 1998. This was also the first season the Orioles played in the league and did NOT win the championship. The Cubs spoiled the Orioles threepeat attempt.

1997 Season

The incredible feat of 1997 was turned in by the Orioles as they went a perfect 21-0 and won the league championship. This was an amazing season for the best team in the Middlesex MSBL.
The Tigers did not return for the 1997 season, however two teams were started from players on that team, the Millis Braves and the Marlboro Indians. The league also added the Framingham Brewers which meant there were eight teams! The teams were split into an American and a National League. The season was shortened to 17 games, 3 against teams in your division and 2 against the teams in the other division.

1996 Season

The 1996 season marked a great year of growth for the league. The Framingham Orioles entered the league again and won the championship. The Medway Phillies and Triboro Cubs were added to the league. With the three returning teams there were six teams in the league. There was a 20 game schedule with every team playing each other 4 times.

1995 Season

This was a tough season for the league as two teams left from the previous year, the Orioles and the As. The Hudson Cardinals and Framingham Yankees returned, and the Marlboro Tigers entered the league. Since there were only three teams, every other weekend the teams played double headers so every team played against each other every other weekend. The Yankees won the title in 1995.

1994 Season

There were only four teams in the inaugural season of Middlesex MSBL. The teams were the Wakefield As, Hudson Cardinals, Framingham Orioles and the Framingham Yankees. The Orioles won the championship this season.
